Help athletes, teams, coaches, and organizations achieve more with Adler University’s new Master of Science in Sport and Human Performance. This 38-credit master’s degree program combines coaching and counseling skills with evidence-based theories of human performance to support socially responsible practice in a range of sport and performance settings.

Rooted in Adler University’s commitment to social justice, this two-year program includes a social justice practicum and a sports externship. Graduates of this degree program will be eligible to pursue the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC®) credential from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.

The M.S. in Sport and Human Performance is a two-year, full-time master’s degree. The program includes 11 courses, a social justice practicum, and a sports externship. Based at our campus in downtown Chicago, the program features small classes led by faculty experts who bring advanced professional insight to the classroom.

Coursework

Courses for the M.S. in Sport and Human Performance cover counseling skills, theories of human performance, professional ethics, and more. Students receive specialized training to be able to work with individuals, groups, and teams who wish to maximize their sport performance and psychological well-being.
