The Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) is a graduate professional degree program that shapes future policymakers, public administrators, and community-based professionals seeking to impact systemic social change.
Adler University is poised to begin offering the Master of Public Policy and Administration, Health and Human Rights concentration in the Fall of 2023, pending approval from the Illinois Board of Higher Education.

Concentration – Health and Human Rights
Our Health and Human Rights concentration prepares students to help create and implement policies that lead to safer, thriving communities. Students learn how to lead policy and advocacy efforts that foster community health, human rights, and social justice domestically and internationally. This concentration trains policy professionals to work in governmental, nonprofit, or private sectors applying established human rights standards, laws, and treaties within the context of community health.
Program Experience
Our program is designed to prepare strong leaders and administrators for an ever-growing range of opportunities in public service. As a student, you will explore the theoretical foundations and core competencies and skills required to provide strong, ethical leadership and positively affect systems of public service and program administration.
Consistent with our mission, our Master of Public Policy and Administration program is rooted in social justice, while also developing your aptitude for leadership, management and communication. Over the course of the program, you’ll take part in experiential learning so you can cultivate the skills to become an agent of positive social change.
Courses
The program requires 36 hours of course work with a minimum of 27 hours of Public Policy and Administration core course work and 9 hours of concentration course work.
